Can Pakistan survive the Taliban?
Well, this will be the mystery for atleast few more years as no one could predict whether Pakistan will become a victim to Taliban or not. Pakistan has been very vulnerable to terrorists and Dictators. The world has noticed all these years though they pretend to be taking actions against them or denying the fact that they have been ruled by those people.
Taliban has a long history if we look at it. They were basically formed by the native tribals in Afghanistan and they were groomed by USA to fight against Afghanistan leaders but slowly they occupied Afghanistan and they diverted their attention towards terrorism in the name of religion. Mullah Omar was heading it but it was then taken over by an eminent industrialist by then called Osama Bin Laden. Laden by then had built a construction empire in UAE since he was close to the ruling family and he had won many building contracts because of that.
Unfortunately all the wealth he has amassed by doing this was diverted towards terrorism and Laden Group (as it was called in UAE) started losing its contracts. Taliban after conquering Afghanistan wanted to spread its wings to nearby country but they lost their own grounds in Afghanistan when USA declared war against them after the 9/11 incident which saw the fall of Twin Tower in USA. After losing heavily and was almost washed out in Afghanistan, Taliban wanted a hold to survive and it found a better place for that which was none other than Pakistan. They would have selected Pakistan on the following grounds:
1) No Powerful leaders and leaders quarrel within themselves
2) Vulnerable to religion
3) Previous history where it had never been a credible and believable country on various grounds in the international arena.
4) Political parties were not organized.
5) Pakistan's attention towards India in trying to sabotage its image and to claim Kashmir.
India and Pakistan were close to USA and by being close to Pakistan, Taliban can prevent USA from helping Pakistan and at the same time attack India(since Pakistan wanted to do so and by doing this Taliban can sit in the ruling chair in Pakistan) and by dong this it is indirectly attacking USA.
They can do this only in the name of religion otherwise Pakistan may not have allowed them to enter its country and since Pakistan has always lied and was not a credible country, Taliban wouldn't have had a better option in doing this.
But the main question of whether Pakistan can survive Taliban is in their own hands as no one can predict as to how Pakistan can react because of its previous history. If it overcomes this, it is good for them and for the man kind. If not, GOD saves Pakistan...
