Is India being targeted for its progress as discrimination & violence against Indian students grow in the US and Australia?

Yes is the answer in one line. The reasons for Indians being attacked are many but some of the immediate ones would include

1. Indian Students are more talented and focused when they go for higher studies since they realize that their parents have spent so much of money and the future of all of them lies in their studies and performance and hence naturally the commitment comes into picture.

2. As a result of the above, they start performing well. They are more focused only in studies and in their own growth which makes them come out with flying colors and eventually the Employer's First Preference when it comes to hiring will be the Indian Students which cannot be denied.

3. Indians now contribute a major junk in the US and Australia. Though US was the favorite destination which has attracted the students so far by giving them lot of scholarships, a 3.5Mn drive by Australian Government to get the attention of Indian students to study in their Premier Institutes yielded them the fruit and as a result of which Australia has overtaken US in the number of students studying in their country.

4. Most of the students come out with flying colors, they immediately end up getting a good job in US, Australia or elsewhere which would definitely create a fuss among the fellow people.

5. On the other hand apart from dominating in their own country, India has also been one of the favorite destinations for KPO/BPO and LPO which again people in US and other countries think that we are stealing their jobs which also develops a kind of hatred for the Indian students studying abroad.

6. Moreover the GUN FREE culture in US is also a factor attributing to various attacks where in we have witnessed many incidents in the recent past where in the students have killed their own class mates and professors. This should also be curbed if the attacks on Indians need to be minimized.

7. Indians, though they adapt to the culture where ever they go, at the same time they are well within their boundaries. Hardly a few of them cross the limit and this is also something which other nationals may not be in a position to digest since Indians are one of the well behaved especially among the students community.

8. Indians also have the tendency of forgetting and forgiving things and they haven't brought into limelight lot of incidents that had happened in the past which also would have served as a motivating factor for others in US and Australia to have opened further attacks over the Indian Students.

Hardly they realized how much of consequences this should have brought in because Indian Government had taken this seriously and expressed their shock and anger to the Australian Government and Kevin Rudd, PM of Australia has to apologize and to promise that he would ensure that it would never happen because he knows the potential of Indian Students and should also be aware that the future of their country lies in Indian students as well since they contribute a major sum towards their Foreign Exchange and US needless to say has lot of doctors, advocates, scientists, engineers and software engineers in various companies there holding very high and respectful positions and if something goes wrong against Indian community or students would be facing a serious consequences.
