The IPL Cricket matches goes South Africa.

IPL - Indian Premier League is one of the most successful formats of games in recent times. It brought a new sense of gaming among the cricket fans rather I would say a revolution where in it raked millions of rupees and lot of companies have agreed to sponsor in the future as well.

This game was different than others.Firstly its just 20 overs game and hence people didnt get bored easily as it is like watching fireworks from the begining till the end and secondly people get to see their favourite heroes competing with each other. Which ever team wins,the CUP is still for one of the Indian State. Hence it made it even more interesting and challenging.

When the IPL was launched,companies started pouring in millions because they were aware that it would be an instant success. Players were bought for millions and lot of Corporate and Film personalities took part in owning a team of their own and the rest is history.

India was attacked by terrorists who played the spoilsport for the IPL this year.Since this game involved lot of foreign players, many countries were worried about sending their players to India including England,NewZealand,Srilanka.So India has to decide about shifting the venue outside. The only two places that qualified immediately was UK and South Africa. Since hosting the game would be really expensive in UK, India has decided about playing the game from Souh Africa.

This has few glitches.They were:

1. Firstly the difference in the time. The game might have to start in the morning in South Africa so that it would be during noon or in the evening in India. Not all the viewers can see and enjoy it especially those who come back by 9.
2. It wouldnt have much of viewers in the venue to encourage the players.
3. Many major sponsors have walked out this time because of the issue in the venue.
4. Even the players may not have the same kind of morale and boost when they are playing in South Africa.
5. Players may walk out next time if the same happens next time as well citing other commitments.

The above mentioned were few of the disadvantages of hosting the game outsdie India.The IPL borad would have considered hosting it after the Elections but since everything is done now, nothing would bear a fruit talking at this point of time.We would have to wait and watch the TRP rating which would actually show how much successful this would be.
