Should India interfere in the Srilankan offensive against the LTTE?

When we talk of India's take on sri-lanka dealing with LTTE problem, WE must remember terrorism is a worldwide problem. It is not only sri-lanka who is facing this problem but larger part of inhabited land is faced with this problem. Terrorism by LTTE is much older problem, older than 9/11 in USA after which world became vulnerable to terrorism. After 9/11 the need was felt by all the countries to counter terrorism and to help each other in every way possible to face terror. Tremors were felt in the whole world when the most powerful country most powerful intelligence system could not track the disaster coming, how other countries of the world could face it.

India itself is a victim of terrorism. It has faced cross border terrorism from Pakistan in the name of acquisition of Kashmir. NOT only that, LTTE has also assassinated Rajiv Gandhi. Then, government was trying to make a compromise .It was trying to help sri lanka with LTTE problem.

Killing people in the name of religion, in the name of minority community & in the name of having separate land is not ethical. Thousands of people die in the name of terrorism .Sri-lanka has tried to counter this problem of terrorism. The confrontation between the army and the LTTE has left the island country devastated. The people for whom LTTE are fighting get killed every year. The rest left are trying to leave the country. Many Tamil-Srilankans live in refugee camps in Tamil Nadu.

India being a neighboring country has its duty to help those people who are in refugee camps. It should ask the government of sri-lanka to take care of the minority Tamil people who are left devastated after the intensive operation of eradicating the LTTE. It can also advise the Government to rehabilitate the people who are in India as well as Srilanka. India and Srilanka must make sure that such organization of terror must not be allowed to develop.
