Should India interfere in the Srilankan offensive against the LTTE?
Liberation tigers of Tamil is a separatist organization founded by Velupillai Prabhakaran in 1987 in Srilanka LTTE was sought to create an independent nation of Tamils. LTTE an unlawful association involved in violent activities against the Srilankan force till its end in May 2009. It was declared as a Terrorism group by India followed by assassination of former Indian Prime minister Mr. Rajiv Gandhi in 1992.
LTTE has been accused of recruiting children and women in terror activities. But they were release after several discussions.
It has the following wings:

Of course they have a Humanitarian wing also which helped in relief activities during Tsunami. But they were accused of recruiting the children who became orphans after Tsunami

India's intervention with respect to the Tamil militants and the Srilankan Government was first happened in 1987 by air dropping the food parcels to Jaffna war place.
This was because of the flood of refugees and the anger of Tamils in south India. India requested Srilankan to send troop of naval unarmed forces to help the Tamils but since was not agreed by the Srilankan Government led to
India's intervention with respect to the Tamil militants and the Srilankan Government was first happened in 1987 by air dropping the food parcels to Jaffna war place.
However after several negotiations India and Srilanka entered the Indo-Srilankan peace accord instead of India influencing both Srilankan and militants to sign a peace accord among them
This included withdrawing the Srilankan troops from north lanka and Militants to Disarm and India to send Peace keeping force to be sent. All the militants agreed to lay down their arms except LTTE where they opposed one of the candidates in the list.
Peace keeping force was sent back to India after request from Srilankan Govt.
However the Srilankan Military Forces defeated the LTTE's in May 2009.
End of LTTE is not the end of problems. It's only a new phase of it. Considering the Lankan economy India and Red Cross are carrying the humanitarian relief work.
1. Instead of entering in the internal affairs of other nation, India has to look towards strengthening the security forces within our boundary. This is because not all members of LTTE have been caught or destroyed. There is a possibility that many might have been mingled with the civilians. The survivors may not remain in groups, might slowly start their activities later on. Also there is a possibility that they may get the help of sympathizers of LTTE.
2. LTTE's were involved in sea privacy, smuggling Narcotics and other activities (for raising their funds), might again get engaged in such activities to serve their lives.
3. There is a possibility that angry Tamil militants the supporters in India might rebel.
4. It is also known to the world that LTTE had connection with other terror groups, they have helped Ramzi Yousef who was the planner of world trade centre attacks by providing him fake passports and also they possessed links with Al - Qaeda and other terror groups in PAK.
So India has to closely monitor that it won't lead to any conflicts and ensure peace is maintained within our land rather than entering in their affairs. Of course, we can always stretch our hands for any Humanitarian relief work.
