Are we ready for gay rights?

A Gay right was one of the best decisions taken by Indian Legal System. We were actually ready for gay rights ten years back itself. The decision has been actually taken late. Everyone has right of choice of their own life and decide partner for themselves. If some one is comfortable with his own sex and wants to live his life with them, why should anybody else has issue with this? Few religious organizations and leaders may make issue out of this and try to gain media attention. These leaders may have their own arguments but different people have different emotions. Today's generation has accepted this. For example, in my house, my parents may not agree to gay rights but I do support it. This could be due to generation gap. In their times, they had different values and culture but with times, everything is changing. Most of the gays have some bad past. They go by their emotions rather then being practical about life. I don't encourage someone to be gay but I wouldn't interfere in gay rights. We will have to understand 'why some people are gay?'

Our society today has younger population more, which is accepting the new changes in society. They are more experimental and adventurous. They make their own rules and do what they wish. The society has changed. We have become more technologically advanced. Most of them in our country are technically adept. Internet has opened lot of doors for us in both right and wrong way. Children are watching porn films and even they know what is meaning of virgin. With both parents working and nuclear family becoming norm, children have complete freedom. These children are experimenting with their body having tattoos and trying different things, may be sex also; not everything is happening right but we can't control everything. The society is going for worse. I am not being pessimistic but I am telling bitter truth. We are mirroring the society of western countries. We are ourselves calling for troubles. Lot of youngsters these days are bisexual. They have experimented with their friends for inquisitiveness or fun. But we don't accept the truth. We have habit of calling other person wrong despite doing same mistakes like him.

In another ten years, being gay wouldn't be like a fashion but will just be very normal. With so much advancement in technologies, people are changing their own sex. Someone will be born as boy and will get operated and become a girl. In one life, you would be able to experience both the things. Science is creating greater competition to religion. Earlier homos or lesbians had to live with shame but now they have legal rights. They won't problem in getting homes also. The gay population is more in cities of India then villages but will slowly create inroads to villages. Gays can live with same pride as other Indians in India. Nobody would stare at them.
