The Institute for Civil Services Examination Training Society, formerly known as IAS Coaching Centre, started functioning in August 1989 under the Scheduled Castes Development Department. It aims at establishing Social Justice, to the weaker section of the Society realizing that the representation from the weaker sections of Society – especially from SC,ST – in Civil Services, is lesser in number. It seeks to assist young men and women belong to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and such other weaker communities to be decided by the Institute to prepare themselves for competitive examinations being held by the Union Public Service Commission by imparting free training.
