- Through multiple indicators including the Living Planet Index (LPI), provided by the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), the report shows the urgent need for a new global deal for nature.
- The report found a decline of 60% in population sizes of vertebrate species overall from 1970 to 2014, with 89% loss in the Tropical region of Central and South America.
