Allopathy Vs Homeopathy, Discuss

Most people are unaware of the silent warfare that has been waged between two distinctly different philosophies in the field of medicine.

Homeopathy is the art and science of healing by safe, gentle, and natural methods. The word homeopathy is coined from the Greek words 'homoios' meaning like or similar and 'pathos' meaning suffering (similar suffering). It works on the principle of 'similia similibus curentur', or let 'likes be cure by likes' which means that what will cause will cure where as Allopathy term is derived from a Greek word allos, "other", "different" pathos, "suffering" which means "other than the disease". Homeopathy is based on the concept that disease can be treated with minute doses of drugs thought capable of producing the same symptoms in healthy people as the disease itself. The concept of Allopathy is based on that diseases can be treated with the help of drugs.

Homeopathy forms a holistic approach to health, it aids the body's abilities to heal itself by improving the immune system of the body. They have a striking balance of SCIENTIFIC, NATURAL and INDIVIDUALISTIC approaches in their treatments and prescribing .The term allopathy was coined in 1810 by Samuel Hahnemann. Allopathy is basically a part of western medical system. Allopathic medicine refers broadly to medical practice that is also termed western medicine evidence/based medicine or modern medicine.

If taken under proper guidance of a homeopathic physician, homeopathic medicines have no side effects, but it's a well-known fact that anything taken in excess is bound to be harmful where as Allopathy is an approach which aims to treat the illness only. Allopathic practitioners are limited by what they can do because they only focus on the symptoms not the causes. It seems as though there is a pill for every ill, and even better, a pill for all their side effects. Allopathy has its own chain of side effects (internal or external) connected with every prescribed medicine.

Homeopathy is generally a safe treatment as it uses medicines in extremely diluted quantities and there are usually minimal side effects. Its non-toxicity makes it a good choice for the treatment of children. Another benefit of homeopathy is the cost of treatments. Homeopathic remedies are in expensive often a fraction of the cost of conventional drugs. Homeopathic treatment has been shown effective in treating many conditions.

Its network is very wide. It is adopted by almost all of the countries around the world. Allopathy is drug oriented methodology. While in many cases symptoms are relieved, cured, or prevented many allopathic medicines can do a lot of harm to your body. There is no place for individuality in allopathy because the same pill is given to all the patients having same kind of disease. The effectiveness of allopathy in emergency is the main reason why people around the world adopted allopathy. Most of the drugs given in allopathy have side effects.

I finally conclude that homeopathy is better than allopathy because it has less side effects and it is natural and has low cost.
