Mahinda Rajapaksa

Mahinda Rajapaksa is the 6th President of Sri Lanka. A lawyer by profession, Rajapaksa served as Prime Minister from 6 April 2004 until his victory in the 2005 Presidential election.

He was re-elected for a second term in office on 27 January 2010. He is being credited for defeating the LTTE. His recent personal visit to India is being protested in Tamil Nadu as many feel he is not fair to Sri lankan Tamils.
